Starlink's half-price holiday offer is live in Japan and South Korea; the US price list shows none

Key takeaways
- On Nov 3 and Nov 4, 2026, Starlink's order lists showed cut prices with a Nov 28 end date only for Japan and South Korea.
- Japan's home plan was listed at ¥3,550 instead of ¥7,100, exactly half.
- starlink.com's English banner for the offer is coded to show only to visitors in Japan and South Korea.
- Starlink's US list carried no cut price and no promotion end date on either day.
On Nov 3, 2026, Starlink’s order lists for Japan and South Korea showed holiday price cuts ending Nov 28, and the cuts were still there on Nov 4. Starlink’s US list, read on both days, showed no promotion at all.
What changed
Japan and South Korea showed cut prices, each with a promotion end date of Nov 28, 2026. Neither list had an address entered, and no order was placed:
| Country | What was cut | Regular price | Cut price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Japan | Residential plan, monthly | ¥7,100 | ¥3,550 |
| South Korea | Residential and Mini plans, plus the Gen 3 and Mini kits | ₩84,545 (Residential) | ₩46,500 (Residential), about 45% off across the list |
| United States | Nothing | No cut price | No end date on any plan |
Japan’s home plan is exactly half price. Korea’s cuts land about 45% below the regular prices on its list rather than at exactly half, and Starlink doesn’t explain the gap.
starlink.com also carries the offer’s banner text in English: “50% off Starlink hardware and service plans for home and travel. Offer ends November 28.” The site’s page code shows that banner only to visitors in Japan and South Korea (our reading of the code on Nov 3, 2026).
Who it affects
US buyers who see “50% off Starlink” this month in a headline, a social post or an AI answer. The English banner text makes the offer easy to mistake for a US one. Starlink prices home service by the service address, and the US list carried no cut price and no promotion end date on Nov 3 or Nov 4.
What to do now
- Read the country and the end date on any “50% off” claim before counting on it.
- To see what a US order costs, enter your service address on starlink.com. That price is the only one that applies to you.
