Is there a Starlink promo code at Home Depot, Best Buy or Amazon?
A store's coupon is the store's offer, not Starlink's. What has turned up at the big stores, what a store kit gives up, and how the totals compare with starlink.com.
Key takeaways
- Any money off a Starlink kit at Home Depot, Best Buy, Amazon or Walmart comes from the store's own coupons, card deals, trade-ins or military programs, not from Starlink.
- Starlink's referral reward needs an order on starlink.com; a store kit can't earn it, and it can't be added later.
- In mid-October 2026, store listings still showed the Starlink Mini at $249, while starlink.com listed it at $149 on Nov 3, 2026.
- A store kit goes back to the store under the store's rules; Starlink's 30-day full refund covers kits bought on starlink.com.
- A store kit activated as a new account is charged the upcoming month of service right away.
Stores do run their own coupons, card offers, trade-ins and military programs, and some of them can take money off a Starlink kit. They are the store’s offers, not Starlink’s, and a kit bought in a store can’t earn the reward Starlink pays first-time customers who order on starlink.com through a referral link.
That trade is the whole question: money off at the store today, against what only a starlink.com order can get. Which is worth more depends on the kit, the store’s price that week and whether you’ve ever had Starlink.
What a “Starlink code” at a store really is
When a search pairs Starlink with a store name and “promo code”, the answer is one of four store programs:
- A store coupon: a percentage or dollar amount on a listing, in the store’s app or at its checkout.
- A store card offer: money off or back for paying with the store’s own credit card.
- A trade-in or recycling bonus: extra off when you hand in an old device.
- A military or first-responder program: the store’s own price cut for those groups.
Each one is set by the store, and the store decides whether Starlink kits are excluded. None of them works on starlink.com, which has nowhere to enter a code. And they only matter at stores Starlink sells through: its help center lists the US stores, including Amazon, Best Buy, Home Depot and Walmart, and warns that a kit from a seller missing from that list won’t activate. On Amazon, that means checking who the seller is.
The store route is getting extra attention this season. SpaceX’s CFO said on its Oct 20, 2026 earnings call that it prioritized delivering kits to retail channels ahead of the holidays, as PCMag reported.
What has turned up at each store, with dates
These are the store-side offers in the sources for this post. None was confirmed on a store’s own terms page, so treat the coupon rows as reports.
| Store | What was reported | Source and date | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Home Depot | Sale prices in November 2025: Standard kit $279, Mini $229 | SlashGear, Nov 17, 2025 | Past sale, not a code |
| Home Depot | 10% off with the store’s credit card | Deal-forum comments | Unconfirmed |
| Best Buy | A Mini sale with a possible extra 15% off for trading in an old router, marked “YMMV” | Slickdeals thread, date not recorded | Unconfirmed |
| Amazon | Listing coupons on some Starlink kits | Deal-forum comments | Unconfirmed |
| Walmart | Nothing specific in these sources | None | None |
| Store listings in general | Mini still at $249 after starlink.com cut it to $149 | DishyTech, Oct 14, 2026 | Check the day you buy |
The last row matters most for the Mini. A store coupon on a $249 listing would have to take off more than $100 just to match starlink.com’s $149 price on Nov 3, 2026.
Military programs at stores
Starlink itself showed no military discount when its own pages were checked. Its help center, legal documents and US order lists showed no military, veteran, first-responder, teacher or student discount when they were last checked, on Nov 3, 2026. The military discount page has the details, including a coupon site that dressed up a referral code as a military offer.
Stores are a different matter. Home Depot and Lowe’s both advertise military programs of their own, and searches like “starlink military discount home depot” are really looking for those. Whether either program covers a Starlink kit depends on its exclusions, which weren’t confirmed for this post, so read the program’s terms on the store’s own site before counting on it. Lowe’s also isn’t among the US stores in Starlink’s help-center list, so check that a store sells genuine Starlink kits at all before buying there.
What a store kit gives up
Buying in a store changes more than the price:
- The referral reward. A first-time buyer, per Starlink’s referral terms, “must purchase a Starlink Kit and subscription directly from www.starlink.com”; the same terms list retail stores among the channels that don’t qualify. For a kit “bought from a retailer or marketplace store, the referral won’t appear and can’t be added later,” the help center warns.
- Starlink’s 30-day return. The Terms of Service let an undamaged kit ordered on starlink.com go back for a full refund, the first month’s fee included, inside a 30-day window counted from the Payment Due Date, which is when service is first charged. A store kit goes back to the store, under the store’s rules.
- When the first bill comes. A store kit activated as a new account is charged for the upcoming month of service right away, Starlink says. On starlink.com, the first month is billed at activation or 7 days after delivery.
- The Mini’s Activation Benefit. A Mini ordered new from starlink.com for a US address comes with an Activation Benefit applied at checkout, and Starlink can claw it back if the kit sits unactivated for more than 7 days after it arrives. Starlink doesn’t state the amount; on Oct 30, 2026 the order page showed the Mini as “$149 (typically $249)”.
The warranty is the same either way: 12 months from purchase, whether the kit came from starlink.com or a store on Starlink’s list.
Compare totals: a worked example for the Mini
Here is the Mini both ways, using the prices from the dates shown. The 10% store coupon is a made-up input to show the math, not a confirmed offer.
| Store kit with a 10% store coupon | starlink.com order | |
|---|---|---|
| Kit price | $249 (store listings, mid-October 2026) | $149 (Starlink US list, Nov 3, 2026) |
| Store coupon | minus $24.90 | None |
| Kit cost | $224.10 | $149 |
| Roam 100GB plan | $55 a month (Starlink US list, Nov 3, 2026) | $55 a month |
| First month of service | Charged when you activate | Charged at activation or 7 days after delivery |
| Return | The store’s policy | Full refund for 30 days after the first service charge |
| Referral reward | Not available | $100 after two months subscribed, for a first-time customer who qualifies |
Shipping and sales tax are left out because they depend on the store and the address.
On those numbers the store kit costs $75.10 more before any referral reward is counted. Even Home Depot’s November 2025 sale price of $229 for the Mini sits $80 above starlink.com’s current $149.
The Standard kit is closer. Home Depot’s $279 in November 2025 was $70 below starlink.com’s $349 purchase price, so a store sale can win on a bought Standard kit, especially for someone who has had Starlink before and can’t get the referral reward anyway. For a home plan, starlink.com may also offer a rented kit instead, with a one-time activation of $0, $99 or $199 (which one you see turns on address and plan; Starlink US list, Nov 3, 2026), while a store kit is always bought outright. Compare the same kit, in the same week, on both sides.
Already bought at a store? What still applies
- The referral can’t be added. Starlink says so plainly, so there’s no form or support request that fixes it.
- Returns go through the store. Starlink’s returns help sends store buyers back to the retailer.
- Store pricing questions go to the store. A store coupon you missed, or a price drop after you bought, is between you and the store.
- Your monthly price is still Starlink’s. It’s set by your service address and plan, whichever way you bought the kit, and current US offers lists what can lower it.
The FAQ has short answers on store kits, codes and the referral if you need one detail quickly.
The referral link won’t help you if…
- You have, or had, Starlink
- Your order is already in
- The kit comes from a store
- Starlink sent you its own offer
- You need it for one short trip
Questions about this
Does Home Depot have a Starlink promo code?
Home Depot's own offers, such as card or military programs, belong to the store, and whether they cover Starlink kits depends on the store's terms. None of them is a Starlink code, and starlink.com's checkout has nowhere to enter one.
Is there a Starlink military discount at Home Depot or Lowe's?
Whether either store's military program covers Starlink kits wasn't confirmed; check the program's exclusions on the store's own site. Starlink itself showed no military discount on Nov 3, 2026, and Lowe's isn't among the US stores Starlink's help center lists.
Can I add a referral to a kit I bought at a store?
No. Starlink's help center rules it out for kits from a store or marketplace: the referral never shows on the account, and support can't attach it afterward.
Is the Starlink Mini cheaper at Best Buy or on starlink.com?
It depends on the week. In mid-October 2026 store listings showed $249 while starlink.com listed $149 (Nov 3, 2026), so compare both prices on the day you buy.
